Mindfulness for Kids
Mindfulness, defined in a easy to understand term is the simple practice of bringing a gentle, non judging, but accepting attitude to the present moment.
During class I introduce mindfulness in creative and fun ways, using stories, discussion, meditation, music, art and crafts.
Children will be taught how to relax and calm their minds, especially when they get "busy". They will learn to focus and pay attention creating an understanding between them and their "monkey mind". Children will be taught how to understand their thoughts, express their emotions, self-acceptance and self-regulation and how to be kind to themselves and others.
Starting early, mindful children grow to be mindful teenagers, and on into mindful adults.
